I had a nipple recon and it's a really straightforward procedure. Are you going to get it tattooed too ? xCoralhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14911757765096378589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7448220495253477037.post-51415680347597774072011-09-01T01:54:47.500-07:002011-09-01T01:54:47.500-07:00My treatment is almost done just the nipple recon ...My treatment is almost done just the nipple recon to complete and the 6 monthly prod/poke. They caught my cancer at an early stage so fingers crossed on my next mammogram no more calcification has come back in my right breast. Had a scare January had to have a lumpectomy thankfully all came back clear, but it was scarey. Can't dwell on it though got to keep smiling xxSarah Mendozahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03968898215267125622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7448220495253477037.post-86290891907773928712011-08-28T06:58:08.729-07:002011-08-28T06:58:08.729-07:00Yes, I think you're right. Scars are signs of trauma and usually pain but also more importantly they're signs of history - each one tells us a very different story about different stages of our lives. I'm sure that I have countless others from where the drains/sutures once were but I'm already losing count ! Hope that you're well and that you're treatment is going well too. But fingers crossed all is done and you can move forward. Like you said it is normally the tough guy in the movie that gains the scars. I have gained quite a few myself lol. A lovely scar on my left leg from climbing a wall I shouldn't at 7 yrs old, 2 c/section scars thick and neat. On my back right side a crevice of a scar from having a large mole removed. The plastic surgeon did say I was lucky the LD was not on my right right. On my left side the LD. Then my lovely breast recon and mastectomy. Not as many as you, but they all have a story.

Scars create tears of both sadness and pain. It is just how we see those scars that determine how we fair through life.Sarah Mendozahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03968898215267125622noreply@blogger.com
